Chill Cryotherapy Now Offers Tirzepatide!

Tirzepatide is the generic name for the prescription medication Mounjaro. Tirzepatide has been shown to cause more weight loss than any other medication in its class, including Semaglutide.

How does Tirzepatide lower your blood sugar and help you lose weight?

Tirzepatide lowers your sugars in multiple ways.

  1. It slows down the speed at which your stomach empties food into your intestine. This helps manage your blood sugars after eating while also leaving you feeling full longer.
  2. It increases insulin production.
  3. Tirzepatide tells the liver to slow down glucose production and glucose release, decreasing blood sugar levels.
  4. It  improves satiety so you feel full faster. Most people eat less, leading to weight loss. Many patients can keep the weight off because they change their eating habits & relationship with food!

Why is Tirzepatide special?

Tirzepatide  and Semaglutide are both GLP-1 inhibitors which means that they mimic a hormone that reduces appetite.  Tirzepatide imitates a second hormone, called GIP, which along with reducing appetite, may also improve how the body breaks down sugar and fat—leading to even greater weight loss!

How Often Do I take Tirzepatide?

You will be prescribed one injection of Tirzepatide per week. You can receive this in our clinic or we can ship the medication directly to you for self-injection.

How much weight loss can I get with Tirzepatide?

Patients in clinical trials lost on average 15-22% of their weight with all the doses of Tirzepatide 5mg – 15mg.

Is Tirzepatide approved for weight loss?

Currently, Mounjaro and Tirzepatide are approved for diabetes treatment but is not specifically approved for weight loss. The FDA is still reviewing the clinical trials and it should be approved later this year. This is the reason that many insurance companies will not cover Tirzepatide/Mounjaro for weight loss or Diabetes control.

What are the potential side effects of Tirzepatide?

  • Nausea                        (12 – 18% experience)
  • Vomiting                     (2 – 6% experience)
  • Diarrhea                      (12 – 14% experience)
  • other GI related issues

Most of these are transient and go away over the first several weeks. Our tirzepatide compound includes a small dose of L-carnitine – an amino acid that plays a critical role in fat metabolism and can increase your weight loss results! Potential side effects of carnitine include GI issues so it should be avoided in patients with diarrhea. Carnitine should also be avoided in patients with a history of seizure disorder.
